Scion and Gaming: FR-S in the New Gran Turismo 5!

Any gamers out there? We have good news if you are into racing games: the new FR-S will be featured in a DLC (downloadable content) package for free, letting you live out your FR-S fantasies with no collateral damage!
Polyphony Digital has announced the addition of two new packs for their Gran Turismo 5 sim racing video game: the ’Twin Ring Motegi Pack’ and ’Scion FR-S ’12’ DLC. The best part of this announcement is that the FR-S will be available as a free download, in hopes of bumping up the amount of downloads taking place.
The new Twin Ring Motegi Pack, however, does not come free of charge, but includes the Twin Ring Motegi ’Road Course,’ the ’Super Speedway,’ the ’East Course,’ and the ’West Course’. For only $5, gamers will be able to try out the famous racetrack in Japan with its large variety of layouts.

The Scion FR-S Long Run

The 2013 Scion FR-S has recently gone on sale, but people are still wondering how the car stands the test of time. Edmund's Inside Line has taken the time to give the FR-S the attention it deserves and it did not disappoint.
You might have guessed this was coming. We could have told you the 2013 Scion FR-S was headed for the long-term test fleet back in October of 2009. Sure, we didn't know then that the Toyota FT-86 would come to the U.S. as a Scion, nor that it would take three years to make it here, but the idea of a half-Toyota, half-Subaru, lightweight, rear-drive, boxer-powered sports car following in the footsteps of the AE86 hooked us instantly.
Sure, it was entirely possible that this whole thing could go really, terribly wrong, (You read the part about this being a Subaru and Toyota collaboration, right?) but then we drove the Scion FR-S and knew we had to have more.
We didn't exactly scream, "Shut up and take our money!" to the Scion dealer the second its order books opened, but pretty close. Our 2013 Scion FR-S was one of the first ones delivered to our area and now it's all ours for the next 12 months and 20,000 miles.
Bone stock, the 2013 Scion FR-S is a capable and rewarding car to drive. It's the kind of soul-satisfying experience that doesn't translate well to an Excel spreadsheet and will be lost on the guys without a mountain road or racetrack nearby.

The Scion FR-S Is Available!

The new Scion FR-S has gone on sale nationally to meet a much awaited crowd of car enthusiasts. The FR-S starts at $24,000, and is making a splash as the frontier sports car that is both affordable and stylish.
The FR-S, the sports car that could save Scion, officially went on sale nationwide today.
Scion is counting on strong sales of the car, co-developed with Subaru, right out of the gate.
"The incredibly positive buzz surrounding the FR-S has generated an impressive list of hand-raisers and pre-sold orders," said Scion Vice President Jack Hollis. "We can't wait for performance driving enthusiasts to get into the FR-S because we know that they are going to love it."
At $24,200 before $730 in destination charges for the six-speed manual, the FR-S could compete with sports cars priced a lot closer to $30,000 or above. The six-speed automatic version starts at $25,300.
