The new Scion FR-S stole the show in Detroit during its 2012 Auto Show with its unique design, sleep exterior, and impressive engine. The sporty new FR-S promises to keep Scion's "youth" oriented target audience happy, while also showing that Scion can still earn rave reviews:
"Now 8 years old, Scion knows what it is. And executives are hoping the Scion FR-S, an upcoming rear-wheel drive sports car designed to appeal the young enthusiast, will serve as a statement of brand identity.
"I think bringing out a halo car for any brand is critical," Scion Vice President Jack Hollis told reporters on Monday shortly after introducing the FR-S at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. "I think we've matured enough over 8 years to not only want a halo, but kind of need one. You need to solidify what your brand is about."
The FR-S is one of two Scion products slated to hit showrooms later this year. While the iQ subcompact has raised a few eyebrows, the FR-S has already earned rave reviews. Motor Trend, invited to review the car ahead of lauch, said it may very well redefine the entry-level enthusiast car segment."Click to Read More
